Hello everybody, welcome to my ceramics web site. I'm really excited to have the opportunity to show you my work, explain some of my processes and just share my love for this material in general. Artist's statement
My work with ceramics is the beginning of what I know will be a life long relationship. When I began working with clay, I immediately saw a connection between its inherent material properties and my own aesthetic preferences. The sensibility that clay brings to the ceramic artist is one of nature, form, and most importantly patience. In the time that I have explored this medium I have found a form of expression that transcends my ability to express myself in words. My explorations have touched on the inherent beauty and perfection of the organic environment and have called into question my relationship to the natural world . I feel that it is through mass production that we have become truly disconnected from our original environment, and that through a shift in sensibility we can return to our origins and in turn regain the balance that is so lacking in today's society.
